We went over a giant pot hole and it crashed to the ground...

I'm on vacation now for almost two weeks!
It's about time!
I've drawn a couple little cartoons and written a couple peoms this summer,
plus I have many beautiful pictures, and am about to get many more on vacation- so I'll finnally be able to update this once I get back, ( if I don't have time to start today)

this might seem like something by 9th grade math teacher would day (I'm sorry, ms. Austin, aliens did not build the pyramides... but you're a very good math teacher <3 )

but it's really interresting.

You may think the bible is crazy and full of lies, but here are some things I’ve found out abou it’s credibility:

-It’s the number one best seller of all time
-Pretty unique book:
Written by 40 men over the period of 1500 years.
These men came form three continents, they wrote on hundreds of different subjects, and yet there really are no contradictions if you examine it. Very congruent. It all blends together.

-Book has a lot of fulfilled prophecies.
-More than 300 about Jesus alone (there are many more about Israel and different events) Ever heard of nostridamus? He was that 16th century , French astrologist . Apparetnly through his books are fairly vague, but some of them seem to have come true, or may have come true.

The bible is full of fulfilled prophecies, but not vague ones.

Statistical probability of just 48 of those 300 prophecies about Jesus to be literally fulfilled in one person is one out of ten to the 57th power. 1 with 57 zeros (1 in 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000)
One molecule, mark it, hide it in a million, million trillion universes , and you let lose a blind man to randomly choose a molecule, and he picked the one with the mark on it. That’s the probability.

Lot of reason we use this book.
, even if you don’t believe it you can give it a second glance, and kind of understand why we’re using it as out guide.

Essentially, it can be seen as a love letter. A love letter from God to people.
DO you remember those kids in elementary school who use to pass the little folded notes “I love you, do you love me, check the box yes, or no.

Well the bible is really like that. God’s saying I love you, do you love me , check the box yes or no.

Gospel mean good news.

Love story between god and man with lots of twists and turns

Main message is this; (it even uses the acrostic g-o-s-p-a-l ! haha)

God created us to be with him , (genesis one and two. First book of the bible)
Our sins separate us from God (geneses 3)
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds. (Lots of people think that if they’re good enough they’ll get to heaven , but the bible says no body can be good enough. (Genesis 4 all the way through the old testament to Malachi, to the last book , and the last chapter of the old testament)).
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again. (Mathew, Mark and Luke, the beginning of the New Testament).
Everyone who trusts in him alone has eternal life. (From John, through the book of Jude, which is most of the new testament).
Life that’s eternal means we will be with Jesus forever in Heaven (from Revalation, last book of the bible).

Tim: "I hate the word religion, to be honest with you, i really do. The word religion, literally, in the Latin, means to bind back, it’s man's attempt to bind themselves to God. Now the gospel, means “good news”, and religion, in my opinion is bad news.

I use to be a pastor, and so I would go to the same restaurant every week to study. I was one of those creepy people who like almost studying and studying... So I was in the back with a huge pile of Jesus books, being the nerd i was, or i guess i still am...
There i was, sipping back coffee and Christian crack for hours before finally getting up to go to the check out with my pile of Jesus books.
have you ever just been able to feel when someone is staring at you? You know you can just tell. Well, i had one of those moments, and i turned around to see a kid scowling at me. He was dressed completely in black, from head to converse foot, with colourful hair , a few facial piercing and a Marilyn Manson t-shirt. Our eyes locked, and he asked me the inevitable question, "man, are you religious?"
I shook my head, "No, religious people make me want to puke!"
"me too" he growled, "I mean they just go to church and pretend their all holy and better than everyone else eh-"
and he went on.
SO here we are, a preacher and a Marilyn Manson fan, making fun of religious people together.
, "You know who else hated religious people?", I said,
"who?", he said
"Jesus."
“no way, “
yeah, he just hated them. He came down to live with the low people, he hung out with the prostitutes and the thieves and the sinners. that made the religious people really mad, and so they killed him-"
"what?", and so now the kid is getting all angry that they killed Jesus,
"But you see, Jesus got the last laugh because he rose form the dead three days later, proving that he was God. And now if you or I choose to accept him we can have a full life, and live with him forever in heaven"
My the end of our short conversation the kid was all like, “yeah-Jesus rules-!"
It was particular, because in those very awkward moments in the middle of the restaurant , he got to see Jesus without all the religion that has been added on.
